Unemployment at 4.6% and holding. Pay rates up, but who cares?

Aparently not the media. The ap ran this headline today:

Friday, July 7, 2006, 5:31 AM PDT

WASHINGTON (AP) The Labor Department says employers added 121,000 jobs in June; the unemployment rate held steady at 4.6 percent.

Of course CNN had this to say:

Job growth weak again
June employment report shows pickup from May reading, but payroll gain below forecasts; wages show largest 1-year gain since '01.

Why do they always focus on the most negative value of the report? Shouldn't the bold headline read more like "Wages gain largest bound since 01". Aparently that makes bush look good as well as the fact that unemployment is a FULL POINT below where it was under the clinton administration, but we can't talk about that. That might be positive.

Msnbc had this to say:

U.S. payrolls grew by tepid 121,000 in June

Report suggests companies are reluctant to bulk up their workforces

You would think our economy was falling apart at this point, but if you ask any left wing advocate they'll tell you that it IS falling apart. They wont talk about how much pay has increased or how many more jobs we have under Bush than we had under Clinton, nor will they acknowlege how much revenue the tax cuts are generating. No! You can't do that! That might make Bush look GOOD! Then the dems might lose their bid in 08.

Once more it becomes obvious that the left is willing to scream whatever blatant misrepresentations and lies they have to in order to gain power. It makes one wonder what kind of honesty towards their promises we can expect if they happen to win the house, senate, or whitehouse. I guess we'll have to wait and find out.
